5th Grade Girls Win Back-to-Back Championships
The Mount Horeb 5th Grade Girls team won back-to-back tournament championships. On January 4th they won the Reedsburg Shootout by beating all four teams they faced: Black River Falls, Portage, Wisconsin Dells & Reedsburg. Then, on January 11th they won a tournament hosted by Iowa-Grant by sweeping their opponents: Benton-Shullsburg, Wonewoc-Center & Dodgeville.
The girls played great team basketball & beat all of their opponents in the Reedsburg Shootout by double digits. They displayed grit & determination on the defensive end of the floor, especially in the championship game at Iowa-Grant, when they held a very explosive Dodgeville team to just 15 points. The team is coached by Head Coach Kevin Ollendick & Assistant Coach Jeramie Holman.
