Mount Horeb Basketball Club

Boys and girls in grades 3-8 are welcome to participate.

Player evaluations for both girls and boys in grades 5-8 will take place before the season begins.

It's important for players to attend BOTH evaluation dates as it is beneficial to the athlete and evaluators in getting the best evaluation experience as possible. The club utilizes a third-party evaluation team.

*Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your designated start time to allow time to warm-up.

*Bring a jersey with a number on the back to help differentiate players.

HS GYMS (Main and Aux)

8th grade: 1:00-2:00pm

7th grade: 2:15-3:15pm

6th grade: 3:30-4:30pm

5th grade: 4:45-5:45pm

Players in grades 3 and 4 will be evaluated a few weeks into the season.

The full season begins at the end of October and runs through mid-March.

Teams participate in Badger Development League with the season running from November through mid-February. https://www.badgerdleague.com/bdl

A few teams may also participate in the Dairyland Sports League at the discretion of coaches and board.

Practices are held at various gyms located in the Mount Horeb Area School District.

Games are played at a variety of school districts in Southern Wisconsin.

Teams practice twice a week with the exception of 7th and 8th graders who practice less during the respective school ball seasons.

Practice times vary throughout the season and communicated to you by the coach.

During the BDL season, teams play approximately 15 games on Saturdays and Sundays.

On game days, teams will play multiple games:

3rd grade: Two games

4th-8th: Three games

Players may also have opportunities to play in tournaments in the area.

If your child is new to the program, or if your child needs a new size, you will need to purchase a jersey. More information will be shared on this.

Program fee is is $130/player.

Options available for families needing financial assistance.

If your child plays in tournaments beyond the BDL season, extra tournament fees will be applied and communicated to you by the coach.
