4 weeks ago🏀 Welcome to the MHB-BDL 4th Grade Boys Basketball Season! 🏀
We're excited to kick off a great season of basketball with your kids! This year promises to be filled with learning, teamwork, and fun.
Practice schedule is below. Game dates and times, will be provided as soon as we receive them from the league. Stay tuned!
Practices:
1. 10/27 - 5:15 to 6:30 Intermediate Center
2. 10/29 - 6:30 to 7:45 Intermediate Center
3. 11/3 - 5:15 to 6:30 Intermediate Center
4. 11/5 - 7:15 to 8:30 Primary Center
5. 11/10 - 5:45 to 7:00 Intermediate Center
6. 11/12 - 7:15 to 8:30 Primary Center
7. 11/17 - 5:45 to 7:00 Intermediate Center
8. 11/19 - 6:30 to 7:45 Intermediate Center
9. 11/24 - 6:30 to 7:45 Intermediate Center
To help your player get the most out of each practice, please make sure they bring the following:
1. Indoor Leather Basketball - Size 28.5 (standard for 4th grade boys)
Labeled with your child’s name (no rubber balls allowed)
2. Water Bottle - Filled and labeled
3. Basketball Shoes - Clean, non-marking basketball shoes
Please do not wear outdoor shoes on the court
4. Practice Jersey and gym shorts (no jeans or sweatpants)
5. Positive Attitude & Ready-to-Learn Mindset
Encouraged every time they step on the court!
Player Expectations:
We want every player to grow on and off the court. Here’s what we expect from our athletes:
1. Effort: Always give your best in practices and games.
2.Teamwork: Support your teammates. Basketball is a team sport!
3. Attitude: Show respect to coaches, referees, teammates, and opponents.
4. Learning: Be open to coaching and work on improving your skills.
5. Attendance: Be on time and present for practices and games (please communicate in advance if you’ll be absent).
Parent Expectations:
We appreciate your support—it’s vital to a positive experience for the team. Here's how you can help:
1. Encouragement: Cheer positively for all players, not just your own.
2. Respect: Show respect toward coaches, referees, and opposing teams.
3. Communication: Keep us informed about any scheduling conflicts or concerns.
4. Support: Help your child be prepared—hydrated, rested, and ready to play.
5. Let Coaches Coach: Allow the coaching staff to guide the team during games and practices.
